A native of Los Angeles, Clara Kim came to Walker Art Center to be part of its curatorial internship program. She worked on several projects, including the exhibitions 100 Years of Sculpture; Insider Art, which featured works by inmates living in Minnesota correctional facilities; and Edward Ruscha: Editions 1958-1999 and its accompanying catalogue raisonné. Here, Clara reflects on her time at the Walker, the state of contemporary art, and the challenges of being a young curator today.
