"The Ruscha project is an exhibition that's opening in June, this coming June [1999], and they're [the Walker] putting together a catalogue raisonné of all his editioned material, from the '60s--I don't remember exactly which date--until the present. And so it involved a lot of cataloguing processes, a lot of research. I started to put together the exhibition history and the bibliography. There's just a slew of material on Ed Ruscha, so it was a big project to work on. Another component was going out to L.A. with Siri Engberg, the curator, and working at Ed's studio, which was amazing, going through the prints that he had, cataloguing them so they could come to the Walker for the show. So that was actually really a great experience, to be in a different environment, in an artist's studio doing that kind of work. It involved a lot of interaction with Ed and with his staff."
