Ever-evolving and widely considered one of the most innovative and influential groups in rock history, Sonic Youth has spent nearly 20 years exploring guitar sounds, feedback, and alternate tunings to create undiscovered sonic landscapes and unmistakable songcraft. The band is Thurston Moore (guitar), Lee Ranaldo (guitar), Kim Gordon (bass), and Steve Shelley (drums). This outdoor event also features underground British sensation Stereolab, with its stylized blend of international retro-pop and hypnotically futuristic jazz, and experimental noise conglomerate Sunship Sextet.
