The Women With Vision Festival is celebrating its tenth year at the Walker Art Center with a month-long program of contemporary film and video by women directors, filmmakers, and artists from across the United States and from around the world. The festival will take place between March 1 and March 28, 2003. Film and video works submitted for consideration will be reviewed this fall. Feature length and short works completed within the past two years are welcome. Short works will be reviewed for quality as well as for thematic compatibility. They will be shown either paired with a feature or grouped by subject or style into programs of short works.

To be considered for the 2003 Women with Vision festival please download and print the WWV application form and send it, along with a VHS copy of your work, to Women With Vision, Walker Art Center, 725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis, MN 55403. The deadline for submission is October 25, 2002. Programming decisions will be finalized in December.

As a part of the annual Women With Vision Festival, the Walker Art Center invites girls (ages 8-18) who live in Minnesota to submit their films, videos, and computer based works to be considered for the Girls in the Director's Chair showcase. This program reflects the ideas and points of view of young women. Media works in all subjects and genres will be reviewed by a panel of women and girls. Selected works will be screened during the festival held at the Walker.
