BETTER LOOKING: PERFORMATIVE ELEMENTS IN VISUAL ART, 6:30 PM

From photographs of street performances to temporary water paintings, performative elements are used by many artists in the exhibition How Latitudes Become Forms: Art in a Global Age to create works of visual art. Explore these practices on a tour of the galleries with Walker Associate Curator Douglas Fogle. Meet in the lobby.

FREE WARE: DISTRIBUTIVE JUSTICE, 7 PM, LECTURE ROOM
For this talk, Croatian artist Andreja Kuluncic presents Distributive Justice, a multidisciplinary Web-based work involving artists, writers, and philosophers. Most recently exhibited at documenta XI (2002), the project is a continually developing exploration of social values.

Frances Anderson's documentary follows four Americans who lost family members in the September 11 terrorist attacks as they travel to Kabul, Afghanistan, the following January. 2002, U.S., color, video, 60 minutes.
