Directed by Kim Longinotto and Jano Williams
The latest documentary from the team of Kim Longinotto and Jano Williams delves into the complex and surprising world of Japanese women's wrestling. Like their American male counterparts, these wrestlers build their images through highly camp behavior. But the filmmakers look carefully at the way the lives of the participants are not so much shaped, but controlled, by their vocation. 2000, U.K., in Japanese with English subtitles, 35mm, 106 minutes.

WOMEN WITH VISION: CROSSING BOUNDARIES IS MADE POSSIBLE BY GENEROUS SUPPORT FROM THE MINNESOTA WOMEN'S FOUNDATION AND THE BUSH FOUNDATION, WITH ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FROM THE MINNESOTA FILM BOARD.
