The Walker teams up with Mixed Blood Theater to bring you an imaginative day filled with staged wonders and storytelling. Invent your own tales inspired by the exhibition State of the Art: Recent Gifts and Acquisitions, see a total theater performance, make your own mask, and watch fantastic films. Mixed Blood is a professional, multiracial company dedicated to the spirit of Dr. King's dream. All activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

PERFORMANCE: TOTAL THEATER
Do you know where all the stories in the world come from? The multi-ethnic, 18-member cast of Haroun and the Sea of Stories presents excerpts from this new play for family audiences, adapted for the stage and directed by Zaraawar Mistry from the children's novel by Salman Rushdie. The production is a thrilling combination of acting, storytelling, live music, movement, and shadow puppetry. Auditorium.

FILM SCREENING: FABULOUS FABLES AND FOLKTALES
Enjoy a collection of live-action and animated tales including Whazzat?, a modern retelling of an East Indian folktale starring animated clay figures. 30 minutes. Lecture Room.

ART-MAKING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY: MASQUERADE
Join actor/mask-maker Brentley Michael Davis and construct clothing for your face. Use naturally fantastic fall materials to make a unique domino mask you can wear for some storytelling of your own. Art Lab.

FAMILY TOUR: HEAR ALL ABOUT IT
Explore new works in the Walker's collection on this family tour of the exhibition State of the Art: Recent Gifts and Acquisitions. Meet in the lobby.
