On the first Saturday of every month, the Walker Art Center presents free family programming. All activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call 612.375.7622.

Kick-start Women's History Month with artful films made by Minnesota girls. Then learn about artwork created by contemporary female artists and make your own film-inspired art. All activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

THE BIG SCREEN: GIRLS IN THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR
Part of the annual Women with Vision festival, Girls in the Director's Chair showcases films and videos by girls ages 8-18. The selections range from animation and documentaries to reflections on family life and friendship.

ART-MAKING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY: THUMB MOVIES
Join in the excitement of filmmaking and create a work of art inspired by the wonder of movies with artist Rikki Nelson.

FAMILY GALLERY ADVENTURE: HER ART HERE
Join a Walker tour guide on a lively exploration of works by women artists from around the world.
