SUMMER IN THE CITY!
WALKER ON WHEELS (WOW) RETURNS TO POWDERHORN
JULY 23-AUGUST 31, 2000
|
Walker on Wheels continues its unique collaboration with the Minneapolis
Park and Recreation Board, Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA),
Powderhorn Park, and the Science Museum of Minnesota. Its first stop is
the Lake Street Cultural Festival on July 22, where documents from an
ongoing project by San Francisco-based performer Joanna Haigood and Powderhorn
Park teen participants called Picture
Powderhorn will be on display.
After this one-day event, the mobile art lab will move to Powderhorn Park
on July 23 for an extended residency. The Science Museum of Minnesota
will be offering its Studio 3-D program for young people interested in
art, science, and technology throughout the visit. Other events include
teen nights, outdoor movies, drop-in art labs, community talks, neighborhood
exhibitions, performances, and more. For a complete listing of events,
