| Group Zero 1957 - c 1960 Dusseldorf Germany Founded in Dusseldorf in 1957. The magazine Zero published by the artists of the Zero group grew out of exhibitions arranged by Otto Piene and Heinz Mack in 1958. Associated with the Art and Technology movement, Zero (or Null) sought to stimulate dialogue between artists and scientists. Zero artists were engaged in a radical rethinking of the picture plane. |
