Delve into the bizarre, disturbing underworld of London's favorite cabaret subverts, The Tiger Lillies. The trio--"criminal castrati" singer Martyn Jacques, double bassist Adrian Stout, and the "James Joyce" of drums, Adrian Huge--croon savage and ironically passionate songs about prostitutes, drug addicts, and losers. The riotously ribald music is a startling mixture of opera, gypsy ballads, and Parisian pomp that underscores corrosive lyrics and Jacques' astonishing falsetto voice. Presented in an informal cabaret format with cash bar. Copresented with Theatre de la Jeune Lune. The Tiger Lillies are the featured band for the Shockheaded Peter performances.
