February public tours at
the Walker Art Center offer visitors the chance to see the new exhibition, How
Latitudes Become Forms: Art in a Global Age (opening February 9), the
culmination of a four-year museum-wide initiative to explore how art changes in
a changing world. Patrons can also tour the exhibitions Manuel Alvarez
Bravo: Optical Parables (closes February 9), Dialogues: Amy Cutler/David
Rathman, Walk Around Time: Selections from the Permanent Collection,
and Things Not Necessarily Meant to be Viewed as Art (from the Permanent
Collection). Thursday tours are free. For more information about educational
programs for all ages, call 612.375.7610.
Gallery admission is $6
adults; $4 young adults 12–18, students with I.D., seniors, groups of 10 or
more. Free to Walker members and children under 12. Free to all every Thursday
and the first Saturday of each month. (Free First Saturdays are made possible
by Coldwell Banker Burnet.)
