Maya Lin has won international acclaim for her site-specific art and architecture projects. Since she designed the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Washington, D.C., Lin has continued to establish herself in both the art and architecture communities with work that is at once serene and profoundly powerful. A unique sensitivity to landscape and topography as well as an ability to create meditative and contemplative places in highly public spaces is evident in her work. She has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honorary doctorates and has been featured in publications around the world. A book-signing follows the talk.
