HOVERSTEN CHAPEL, FOSS LOBECK MILES CENTER AUGSBURG COLLEGE, 625 22ND

The legacies that inspired
the creation of Forgiveness-- memories of inter-Asian conflicts
of the recent past, Western colonialism, and indications of a shared culture--can
be seen through many different filters, each interpretation particular
to the eye of the beholder. This forum brings together a diverse panel
of artists, activists, and scholars from the Asian and Asian-American
communities to discuss the process of healing and the role of the arts
in creating a path toward future understanding. Moderated by Diane Espaldon,
panelists include Adelbert "Addi" Batica, Dr. Byong Moon Kim, Juliana
Pegues, Dr. Yue-Him Tam, and Akiko Tsutsui. For more information, call
the Walker box office at 612.375.7622.
THE RESIDENCY ACTIVITIES AND PERFORMANCES
ARE PRESENTED BY WALKER ART CENTER PERFORMING ARTS AND EDUCATION/COMMUNITY
PROGRAMS DEPARTMENTS IN ASSOCIATION WITH ASIAN AMERICAN RENAISSANCE, CAAM,
INTERMEDIA ARTS, MINNESOTA DANCE ALLIANCE, THE KOREAN-AMERICAN TODAY AND
TOMORROW CENTER, AND THEATER MU.
