ART ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK

South to the Future's CSPAM is featured in Art Entertainment Network, but their entire site is worth visiting, getting lost in, laugh a lot over, and is its own fabulous spoof on a portal. STFF submitted this list of 10 beliefs for WebWalker.

South to the Future

Putting the Art Back into Commerce,
Taking the Commerce out of Art.

We have a bed for you. It is clean and has two sets of (clean)
blankets for your pleasure; one is linen the other wool. Feel free to lie down
on top of our bedspread.

We assert that art, as commodity, is yesterday's news. But, commodity as art is the only salvation for a democratic society in today's economy.

I know Art. Art is a good friend of mine. We served in the army together.
Sir, I can tell you this for sure. You are not Art.

We do not choose the world into which we are born. If you are reading this, consider yourself lucky. In the world that *we* occupy, art is a luxury. A two-ton sculpture is nice, but it is also called architecture. A conceptual art piece is provocative, but it is also called thinking. Performance art, you realize, is also known as society. As always, paintings go great in the hallway, and video art makes a nice addition to any family room.

True art is free. In fact, the true art is freedom.

This we believe.

One.  Capitalism can make the world a better place.

Two.  Leftists need to be less liberal with their opinions and more
liberal with their time.

Three.  Justice comes before truth.

Four.  Concerned consumption can replace conspicuous consumption.

Five.  The masses are a bunch of individuals. And they're a lot
smarter than you think.

Six.  Academics and Artists live off the fat of the land.

Seven ate nine.

Eight.  It's about history, not histrionics.

Nine.  Thank you Steve Dietz for giving us $50,000 for allowing our
piece to be exhibited as part of the Art Entertainment Network (AEN).

Ten.  Minorities with computers. Now that's revolutionary.
