London's wildly inventive Improbable Theatre (creators of the Walker/Jeune Lune-presented smash hit Shockheaded Peter in May 2000 and 70 Hill Lane in Out There 1999) returns to the Twin Cities with Spirit. An investigation of universal conflicts replayed through personal and communal histories, the piece poignantly captures the revelatory moments when old cycles are broken and new perspectives are formed. Through an imaginative blend of acting, improvisation, puppetry, and imagery, intensely personal and sometimes darkly humorous stories unfold and a living map is created onstage complete with cities and forests, hills and valleys, and Heaven and Hell. INSIDE OUT THERE Learn object and found-material manipulation from these inventive British puppet-theater artists on Saturday, January 20. Participants are encouraged to bring puppets and/or objects. All ages welcome. Limited to 20 people.
