TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15 WANG JIAN-WEI'S MOVEABLE TASTE INSTALLATION, 8 PM Conference Room $7 ($5 Walker Members) Walker Film/Video artist-in-residence Wang Jian-wei presents a new digital-media installation in which he uses the preparation of food from his native Szechwan Province to explore ways that a culture can be transformed through the simple acts of daily life. The work combines live performance, video and sound installations, and the spicy taste of minced meat and bean curd in hot pepper sauce. Program length 60 minutes, followed by refreshments.
