I might have changed this piece [Vivian Selbo's Vertical Blanking Interval]. It had all these advertising images on a grid and I recognized most of them. Sometimes a message would pop up, like 'You need to know the name of the domain before you can determine the location of the server.' I think the artist might be using advertising in this way to say that there's too much advertising around. Looking at this piece might make you more aware of the way advertising works and that some people are more easily persuaded than others. It was okay, but it needed to show more of the stupid ads to show how bad they get."
