This program from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's series Fever in the Archive: AIDS Activist Video features impassioned works that attempt to encompass some of the emotions that lead to political and social action. These tapes, among thousands that have recently been remastered and archived at the New York Public Library, show an extraordinary community spirit and the very personal impact the AIDS epidemic has had on the makers' and subjects' lives. Highlights of this selection include A.I.D.S.C.R.E.A.M. by Jerry Tartaglia and Interview with Paul Monette by Phil Tarley. 1987-1995, U.S., color, video and 16mm, 90 minutes.
