UNIQUE HOLIDAY GIFTS AT THE WALKER ART CENTER SHOPS

The shelves of the Walker Art Center Shops at Vineland Place and at Galleria in Edina are well-stocked with creative gift ideas for the holiday season. An unconventional collection of items suitable for everyone' s gift list ranges from home and office products, jewelry, books, children' s books and toys, and holiday-related items. Featured items include a rubber radio, re-issued 1950s-style wall clocks, replica shoe ornaments from the Metropolitan Museum' s Costume Institute, an 1100-page photographic chronology of the 20th century, and Froebel educational toys that are replicas of wooden blocks used by Wassily Kandinsky, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Paul Klee. Merchandise that is exclusive to the Walker Shops includes fortune napkin sets designed by Amsterdam-based Nicolette Brunklaus, sterling silver jewelry by Minneapolis-based artist Karin Jacobson, and a limited-edition Christmas tree mobile designed for the Walker by Sheryl Douglas.
