Explore Membership Program
Explore is a free membership program for limited-income individuals, families, and nonprofit institutions. Explore provides opportunities for Twin Cities communities to understand, discuss, and participate in programs and workshops relating to contemporary art. This unique program aims to increase the size and diversity of the Walker Art Center's audience and strengthen its multidisciplinary programs by working in partnership with other arts and cultural organizations. Explore encourages people who may not be familiar or comfortable with the Walker to visit the galleries and participate in a variety of activities and performances.
Explore membership benefits include:
- free event tickets for two (up to 10 people for institutional members) to Walker films, performances, education programs, and members-only previews (subject to ticket availability)
- free gallery admission for four (up to 10 people for institutional members) for a full year
- a 10% discount on Walker Art Center Shop purchases
- a free one-year subscription to the Walker's monthly calendar of events
Since we began the Explore program, its members have attended free performances, film screenings, educational programs, and exhibitions at least 5,000 times.
