Just in time for Halloween . . . gorgeously foreboding images from director Todd Browning's creepy 1931 film classic Dracula meet a pulsing new composition by Philip Glass. This canny musical homage to the great horror scores of yesteryear is performed live by the Kronos Quartet with Glass on keyboards as the original Dracula fills Northrop's big film screen. Of the many versions of this cinematic thriller, none is more enduringly haunting than Bela Lugosi's depiction of the bloodthirsty Transylvanian vampire count. Copresented with Northrop Auditorium as part of the 2000-2001 Discover series. For more information try these Web sites: Philip Glass and the Kronos Quartet. Lower-tier-priced tickets are available through the Northrop box office at 612.624.2345.
