Listen to Bang on a Can All Stars

"New music the way it should be presented--with passion, precision, dynamism, stylistic authority, and a welcoming informality."--New York Newsday

Born out of the energy and excitement of New York's Bang on a Can Festival, this ensemble of six brilliant musicians--part classical ensemble, part rock band, part jazz sextet--offers an eclectic supermix that includes an ingenious new Don Byron score to a classic Ernie Kovacs TV show, fresh settings of vintage Velvet Underground lyrics by Bang on a Can founder David Lang, the Midwest debut of Skeleton Crew (the latest Walker-commissioned work by Minneapolis composer Jeffrey Brooks), and other recent pieces. Discover the sound of a new generation. Come early and join Walker performing arts curator Philip Bither for a free preperformance discussion with Lang and Brooks.
