Friday Night, which takes place during a single evening in Paris, follows a woman in the process of moving in with her lover. Her plans get derailed when a Metro strike brings the city to a standstill in one big traffic jam and she encounters a mysterious stranger. French director Claire Denis was honored with a Regis Film Retrospective at the Walker in 1998. Her works include the features Chocolat, Beau Travail, Nénette et Boni, and the controversial Trouble Every Day. 2002, France, color, 35mm, in French with English subtitles, 90 minutes.
