For Love (Misha) |

For Love (Company) |
The White Oak Dance Project embodies the adventurousness and commitment
to excellence of founders Mark Morris and Mikhail Baryshnikov. The company
embraces an eclectic array of works that reveals the many facets of modern
dance vocabulary. With PASTForward (see excerpts above), White Oak celebrates the creative
fervor of the revolutionary '60s and '70s at the Judson Dance Theater, a
collective actively supported by the Walker in its early years. PASTForward
looks back at this remarkable period with new and classic pieces by Lucinda
Childs, Trisha Brown, Simone Forti, Steve Paxton,Yvonne Rainer, David Gordon,
and Deborah Hay. Baryshnikov will perform during the program. Presented
in association with the University of Minnesota Dance Program.
