In 1987 Peter Rasmussen completed three years in the camera workshop at AFTRS. He then wrote three short stories (Fairytales for adults) in 1987. He produced and directed one of these, THE ASTRONOMER (a 30 min story read by Patrick Dixon with music and soundscape.) which was broadcast on radio in 1989. Since 1988 he has dedicated himself to feature film script writing.

In 1998 Rasmussen wrote and directed THE PICTURE WOMAN, which was voted in the top ten at the Sydney film Festival. He has collaborated with director Rob Marchand on the feature film script, TROPPO. And director Jackie Turnure on the original feature film script BOTS. He is currently creating a feature length animation KILLER ROBOT.
