Free Verse, the Free Thursdays series for poets and writers, continues
with Jim Moore and Jim Krusoe, two poets who share the same first name
and the same critically acclaimed skill with words. St. Paul-based Moore
is the author of five books of poetry, including How We Missed Belgium,
a collaboration with Deborah Keenan, and, most recently, The Long Experience
of Love. His work has appeared in APR, The Nation, The
Paris Review, and the current issue of the literary journal Water~Stone.
Los Angeles- based Krusoe has written five books of poetry and a book
of short stories, Blood Lake, which spent six weeks on The Los
Angeles Times bestseller list. His stories and poems have appeared
in The Antioch Review, Bomb, The Iowa Review, Field,
The North American Review, The American Poetry Review, and
The Santa Monica Review.
