Do You Like Creme in Your Coffee and Chocolate in Your Milk? 1997
Collection Walker Art Center.
Justin Smith Purchase Fund, 1998.

See the global and provocative nature of contemporary art in the Walker’s new permanent collection installation at Walker After Hours: A Worldly Expedition on Friday, September 10, from 5:30-9 pm. Beginning with 1950 and continuing to the present, Art in Our Time: 1950 to the Present traces the movement of the avant-garde from Europe to America and all corners of the globe. In addition to gallery tours of this latest look at the Walker's collection, the evening features Brazilian jazz by the Esther Godinez Band and new works by members of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the 1934 film Dames, and a collage-making Art Lab activity using maps. The Martini of the Month is Global Infusion.

Held on the second Friday of each month, Walker After Hours is a lively mix of cocktails and culture featuring the latest gallery installations, performances, films, and more. Tickets for Walker After Hours are $14 ($7 Walker members) and are available in advance by calling the Walker box office at 612.375.7622 (voice); 612.375.7585 (Touchtone Device for the Deaf).
