Jennifer Sterling is principal of Sterling Design in San Francisco. Listed in the 1998 Graphis Design Annual as one of the top 12 studios in the world, Sterling Design specializes in packaging, product design, books, corporate literature, identity design, and film titles. Sterling's projects have won numerous national and international awards and are included in several private and public collections such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Library of Congress, and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Her design technique and methodology are the subject of the forthcoming book Sterling (Gingko Press, 2001). She is on the design faculty at the California College of Arts and Crafts, where she teaches experimental typography and graphic design.
