Celebrate April Fools' Day at this fun-filled, artful event cosponsored by the Children's Theatre Company (CTC). Explore the galleries on an outrageous trickster tour, have your photo taken in a fanciful costume, enjoy tales that bamboozle, and see a fine selection of foolish films. All activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

STORYTELLING: TRICKSTER TALES
Tales of tricksters have been around for ages. Nothando and Vusi Zulu of the Black Storytellers Alliance will enchant you with stories from the United States and Africa, including Signifyin' Monkey, a contemporary rhyming tale, and Anansi the Spider and the Strange Bearded Rock. Auditorium.

12 NOON AND 2 PM
FILMS: LAUGH OUT LOUD!
Watch the crazy antics of some meddling monkeys in Caps for Sale, and then stick around to see penguins making mischief in Pingu at the Wedding Party. Program length approximately 30 minutes. Lecture Room.

ART-MAKING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY: FROLICKING FISHES
Make a pop-up book filled with mixed-up landscapes, such as butterflies swimming in the ocean and fish frolicking in the air.Learn how to fold accordion pages and then explore techniques for creating pop-up pictures with artist Alexa Horochowski. Outer Lobby.

1-3 PM
COSTUME WORKSHOP: TRY ON A TREMENDOUSLY TALL TALE
Try on some marvelous costumes from a variety of Children's Theatre Company performances, then put on a silly smile and have your photo taken. Art Lab.

2 PM
TRICKSTER TOUR: HEAR ALL ABOUT IT
Try to separate fact from fiction on this tour of the exhibition Art in Our Time: 1950 to the Present, featuring anecdotes and physical comedy that will tickle the funny bones of art connoisseurs great and small. For the faint of art, lovers of paint, and artists who ain't! Led by trickster-CTC actor David Barrow. Meet in the lobby.
