Spend an evening deep in the cool shades of new and timeless jazz by local luminaries John Devine and Bill Lang. Celebrating 20 years of collaboration, Devine (tenor sax) and Lang (alto sax) will be joined by Alden Ikeda (drums) and James Buckley (bass) to perform compositions by Mingus, Lang, Coleman, Devine, and others.

DIRECTED BY VINCENTE MINNELLI
Producer John Houseman and director Vincente Minnelli put together this exposé of Hollywood intrigue. Jonathan Shields (Kirk Douglas) is the ruthless head of a failing studio, Georgia Lorrison (Lana Turner) the insecure actress he dumped--and that's only the beginning of his nastiness. Together with director Fred Amiel (Barry Sullivan) and screenwriter James Lee Bartlow (Dick Powell), both of whom have suffered at Shields' hands, Lorrison agrees to a studio-saving film after a persuasive transcontinental phone call from the man who wronged them all. Also with Gloria Grahame, Walter Pidgeon, and pre-Leave It to Beaver Barbara Billingsley. 1952, U.S., BW, 16mm, 118 minutes.
