| Spazialismo 1947 - c 1958 "An art in which our idea of art cannot intervene" --Lucio Fontana, 1946
A movement created by Lucio Fontana in his "White Manifesto" in 1946, based on the ideas of "l’informe" or "base materialism" as inspired by the writings of philosopher Georges Bataille. As Fontana wrote in his manifesto, spatialist art "takes its elements from nature. Existence, nature, and matter come together in a perfect unity. They develop in time and space."
