FINWALL'S DANCE COUNCIL
Alyce Finwall's Dance Council presents Persephone, an original
and unorthodox adaptation of the Greek myth that takes the viewer
on a visually arresting and surreal journey through a combination
of movement, puppetry, sound, and video. Finwall's theatrical choreography
is combined with original live music by guitarist-composer Jindra
and an interpretation of the writings of Roger Wissbaum. Alyce Finwall's

Dylan Skybrook's 1000 Ways is a quilt of dance, text, and imagery
that investigates gestation and mobility. Using incisive physical
theater, Skybrook asks us to consider both physical and psychological
locomotion through stories about motorcycles, songs about Popeye,
and dances with winches, ropes, and wheels. 1000 Ways is a
funny and ecstatic consideration of the need for speed.
