Denise Gonzales Crisp is senior designer at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where she produces an array of award-winning materials for the school's innovative graphic identity. She also maintains her own studio, SuperStove!, where she art directs the quarterly publication artext and collaborates with artists, writers, and other designers. Crisp has been featured in Eye, I.D., and Metropolis, where she was named one of the "54 people, places, and things about to land with a bang." Her work has been recognized by the AIGA, the American Center for Design, and the typography anthologies Typography Now Two and Typographics. She has written extensively for Emigré magazine and other journals. An educator for 12 years, Crisp currently teaches in the graduate design program at Cal Arts and is a visiting faculty member in the Art Center's graduate program in Media Design.
