By the 1980s, video had succeeded in being welcomed into the museum while at the same time flourishing through cable, public access, and other less sanctioned environments. As moving image-based exhibitions became increasingly widespread in the 1990s, technological developments further altered the place of video in the museum. What lessons can be learned from this transformation, by both curators of new media and artists?
