SUMMER DESIGN SERIES
JULY: 11 18 25 AUGUST: 1

"Brilliant," "delicious," and "otherworldly" have been used to describe the work of Office dA, a Boston-based firm renowned for its attention to detail and consummate craftsmanship. Monica Ponce de Leon and Nader Tehrani, principals of Office dA, have created projects ranging from single-family residences to prominent public structures such as the Zahedi Tomb in Pully, Switzerland. The Multifaith Spiritual Center at Northeastern University in Boston, which they designed, received a 1999 International Illumination Design Award from the Illumination Engineering Society of North America. Ponce de Leon is also the recipient of a 1999 Progressive Architecture Award.

Originally from Venezuela, Ponce de Leon has been associate professor of the Harvard Graduate School of Design since 1996. She has lectured on architecture at symposia around the world and her writings have appeared in Architecture Magazine, Metropolitan Home, Architectural Record, the New York Times, and others. She has exhibited at such institutions as the The Museum of Modern Art and the Rhode Island School of Design.

AIA is a registered AIA/CES provider. AIA attendees will receive 1.5 hours of continuing education for each lecture. For more information, call Deanna Christiansen at 612.338.6763.
