CYBERCHICAS TEEN WEB CLASS:
TAKING OVER THE WEB!

CHECK OUT THE CYBERCHICAS' NEW SITE

Committed to gaining a better understanding of the Internet, 12 young women armed themselves with knowledge of mass-media marketing and HTML. Take a look at their responses to the way women are represented in the media today at www.walkerart.org/teenarts/cyberchicas/ (available after December 10). Participants searched the Internet and deconstructed tons of images, creating their own Web pages and designing an interactive online program.

During the workshop, the Cyberchicas met with numerous guest artists, including advertising executives, media critics, and the founders of the zine Bust: The Magazine for Women with Something to Get Off Their Chests. This Walker Teen Programs class was in partnership with The Blake School, Northrop Campus.

CYBERCHICAS WAS MADE POSSIBLE WITH GENEROUS SUPPORT FROM MCI WORLDCOM.
