Exploring the broad use of digital technology, DIG.IT, the 2nd Annual Festival of Digital Media, presents the latest knowledge, visions, and ideas in this evolving medium and welcomes leading international figures from ZKM Center for Art and Media in Germany and Le Fresnoy National Studio for Contemporary Arts in France. Many of the makers will be in attendance to discuss their works and offer insights into their approaches toward the use of digital technology in the arts.

This year, DIG.IT highlights works by five artists from Beijing. The accelerated use of digital video cameras in China has spawned a new freedom in documenting daily life. These artists are working independently, outside the constraints of government-controlled television and censored film scripts.
