Mysterious Object at Noon stems from the free-floating development
of a story begun by the director and continued by people the film crew met
as it traveled through Thailand. Each new storyteller was allowed to pursue
the story from any angle they wished, like the Surrealist "exquisite corpse"
game that inspired the project. The story was then shot in dramatic form,
using nonprofessional actors, and intercut with the earlier footage. The
resulting film plays with everything from traditional fiction to the documentary
style. 2000, Thailand, in Thai with English subtitles, 35mm, BW, 85 minutes.
