THE FESTIVAL DANCING IN YOUR HEAD
SEPTEMBER: 6 7 8

Swim freely in oceans of new musical delights during this 10-hour aural sampler. The wildly eclectic music marathon begins with the chanting prayers of Tibetan monks of Minnesota's Gyuto Wheel of Dharma Monastery and concludes with a soothing midnight set by the Duluth-based ensemble Low. Along the way are solo performances by members of the Bang on a Can All-Stars, the debut of The Orchestra Dancing in Your Head, a minute-film festival featuring works by animator Tom Schroeder, New York-based jazz pianist D. D. Jackson, Steve Reich's minimalist masterpiece Music for 18 Musicians, and much more.
