Dance Revolutions

Presented by the University of Minnesota Dance Theatre

Part of Year of Trisha

Trisha Brown brings her masterwork Set and Reset to University of Minnesota dance students as part of the Dance Program’s annual Dance Revolutions concert, which is dedicated to presenting dance that challenges convention while supporting diverse artistic voices. Cowles Guest Artists Katrina Thompson Warren and Wil Swanson, both veterans of the Trisha Brown Dance Company, worked with U of M students to create Set and Reset/Reset, a variation on the original piece that combines improvisation and Brown’s signature choreography. This year’s concert also features the work of Cowles Guest Artists Bebe Miller, Nathan Trice, and a first-time choreographic collaboration by Morgan Thorson and Karen Sherman.

Dance Revolutions is made possible by the University Dance Program’s Cowles Land Grant Chair Guest Artist Program, which has been exposing students to dance artists and scholars of national and international reputation for 22 years.
