Contemporary Journeys Tour

For People with Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias

Contemporary art becomes the catalyst for community building, self-expression, and appreciating the present in this program designed for individuals with early- to middle-stage Alzheimer’s and other dementias, their care partners, family, and friends. Join us in January for a tour of the exhibition Absentee Landlord.

Pre-registration is required. To register an individual with memory loss and a care partner, family member, or friend, e-mail education.resources@walkerart.org or call 612.375.7609. Please register at least one week in advance of the program date.

Assisted listening devices and wheel chairs available upon request. Gallery stools are always available for tours.

Monthly Program Information

On the last Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11:30 am the Walker offers a Contemporary Journeys experience for which people can pre-register. Experiences alternate each month between tours and art labs.

Contemporary Journeys is a partnership program of the Walker Art Center and the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota-North Dakota.
