Walker Open Field

Spend the Summer in Our Backyard!

HANG OUT

Open Field is back! Come and enjoy a new kind of summer gathering place that brings together relaxation and imagination, recreation and exploration. Socialize with friends both old and new at the bar and grill or while rummaging through a tool shed full of games and props to use for making your own fun. Check out the Open Field calendar to see what’s going on, or simply show up and join in.

PARTICIPATE

Indulge your curiosity. Foster your creativity. Open Field is what you make it. Share what you now—your talents, skills, and passions—or take a leap and try something new. Last year, more than 130 individuals and groups contributed to this festival of community-sourced activities. Offerings included everything from poetry readings, art-making, and yoga on the lawn to skill-share lessons with a twist. Bullwhip-cracking, anyone? Or Israeli dodgeball? Open Field is open to most anything, so add to the mix this year with a program of your own. For more information about how to organize and schedule an activity, contact the Open Field Coordinator: Scott Artley at scott.artley@walkerart.org or 612.375.7543. And remember, you’re not over the hill if you’re rolling down it.

All events scheduled and spontaneous are free and open to the public. To add your program to the calendar, or for more information, visit walkerart.org/openfield or Walker Open Field on Facebook.
