DESCRIPTION:If you’re wondering\, “what is agonism?\,” join designer
and Open Field Artist-in-Residence Carl DiSalvo\, artist/educator Marisa
Jahn\, media theorist Warren Sack\, and architect Mark Shepard for a livel
y and interactive presentation to unpack and debate the term.\nPart conver
sation\, part performance\, this won’t be your typical panel. The sessio
n will include choreographed lighting and movement on stage (based on chor
eography of Balanchine’s Agon ballet)\, an interrogatory analog tweet ch
oir who will transform your 140 character comment into a song lyric\, and
a game of Bingo to track the number of times speakers use words like ‘di
ssensus.’\nThis lecture will be webcast live and archived on the Walker
 Channel (channel.walkerart.org).\n\nThe D+D Tweet Choir\n\nFriday\, April
 13\, 10 am–12 noon \nMcGuire Theater\n\nDuring the Structures for Disco
rd conversation\, the D+D Tweet Choir—Jacquie Fuller\, Molly Balcom Rale
igh\, and their team of volunteer singers—will translate selected tweets
from the audience into song lyrics\, forming a critical and comic respons
 e to the speakers’ dialogue.
