A Program for Walker Art Center Members
Performance Art/Theater: Elevator Repair Service
This session delves into experimental performance, using New York–based Elevator Repair Service as a case study. Participants are encouraged to attend a preview performance of the company’s latest piece, Fondly, Collette Richland, the following weekend (May 16–18). This exciting large-scale production was written by Sibyl Kempson, a rising star in the New York experimental theater scene.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, participants will receive a complimentary coffee or tea in honor of a favorite mother in their life.
Art School demystifies contemporary art by putting it into context—culturally, historically, and personally. Through short, succinct sessions, you’ll come to understand what the fuss is all about—and even feel like a connoisseur yourself. This program for Walker members is copresented by the University of Minnesota Departments of Art and Art History.
