This program, curated by filmmaker William E. Jones and drawn almost entirely from the Walker’s Ruben/Bentson Collection, presents works from cinema’s infancy and one by a contemporary artist. Featured are short works by Auguste and Louis Lumière (1894–1903, 10 minutes), Thomas Edison Paper Print Films (1897–1904, 10 minutes), and Ernie Gehr’s Eureka (1974, 30 minutes). Program length 50 minutes.
Construction Update: We’re open! Enter the Walker through the underground parking garage or Hennepin Avenue doors.
