Free First Saturday: Wall-to-Wall Walker

Explore a range of activities and art-making on Free First Saturday! Enjoy free gallery admission and family fun for all on the first Saturday of each month. Activities designed for kids ages 6 to 12 are offered from 10 am to 3 pm.

Artful journeys await you on this daylong adventure inspired by family favorites from the Walker collection.

Art Making: In Black and White, 10 am–3 pm

Star Tribune Foundation Art Lab
Combine realism and abstract painting styles to create an artwork of your own. Bring your imagination and dress for a mess.

Workshop: Junior Tour Guides, 11 am–2 pm

Garden Terrace Room
Children become junior tour guides, learning top-secret tips from art experts and reciting an oath. Newly initiated guides try out their new skills on a gallery tour sure to captivate family and friends.

Activity: On the Corner, 10 am–3 pm

Bazinet Garden Lobby
Help us celebrate our 75th anniversary as you walk back in time and learn about long-gone buildings from Walker history. Stop by the lobby desk to pick up this activity sheet designed by local artist Andy Sturdevant.

Film: The Triadic Ballet, 10 am–3 pm

Lecture Room
