“Woodbury is very manicured. You’ll drive down any street and see perfectly cut lawn and perfectly trimmed trees,” says Andrea Schoenherr. “We’re steppin’ out a little.” In a 20-minute documentary, Fritz Haeg and Jacinto Astiazarán profile the Schoenherr family and their suburban neighborhood as their yard is transformed into Haeg’s 15th and final Edible Estate, a vegetable garden and vibrant community hub. Created as part of Haeg’s yearlong residency at the Walker Art Center, At Home in the City, the garden is complemented by a Foraging Circle created by Haeg in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden and Domestic Integrities 05, an exhibition in the Walker’s galleries.
Happy Thanksgiving! The galleries and shop are closed Thursday, November 27 and will reopen on Friday.
