The creative landscape of the Twin Cities has long been supported by generous companies that understand the important role the arts play in shaping our vibrant community. Now entering its 10th year, the Walker’s Premier Partners program recognizes those corporations that provide significant underwriting of our operations, leadership on our board of trustees, and the time and talents of employee volunteers for many of our programs and special events. Delta Air Lines, General Mills, Star Tribune, and Target have made such contributions at all levels to our institution, reflecting the unique culture of corporate philanthropy in the Twin Cities.
The Walker’s partners over the past decade have helped present more than 70 exhibitions, 500 performances, 1,800 film screenings, and countless educational programs, events, and tours to more than 6 million visitors to the Walker and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Through their notable assistance, the Walker’s Premier Partners deliver the resources we need to serve our diverse audiences. “They are true partners in bringing the leading contemporary art of our time to this community,” says Jim Dayton, president of the Walker’s Board of Trustees. “The Walker is deeply grateful for the impact their involvement has on the day-to-day operations of the institution.”
