“It was Bill’s very humanity that was in the end the best case that could be made for adopting a more human-centered approach to design,” writes Andrew Blauvelt of Bill Moggridge, a pioneer in the field of human factors design. Cofounder of IDEO and director of the Cooper-Hewitt, the Smithsonian Institution’s National Design Museum, Moggridge, 69, passed away Saturday after a battle with cancer.
